Youth Football Since 1972

The NJ Suburban Youth Football League (NJSYFL) was founded on December 8th, 1972 in Scotch Plains, NJ. The league was formed to provide participating communities with a chance to offer their resident players an opportunity to play in a non-restrictive football environment where every player would have a place to play within their town’s program.

Since its inception, the program has grown and matured significantly and now affords more than 4500 boys and girls an opportunity to participate in youth football and cheerleading programs each season.

NJ-SYFL Participating Programs

The goal of the NJSYFL is to provide the largest number of pre-high school aged youth with a positive experience in the game of football, through participation in a town residency required league. Our program has grown and garnered the reputation of being one of the best programs in the state in terms of both how it is run and the values set forth for the children that participate.
